Where can WA animators apply for funding for animation, film that includes animation, or New Media?

FTI Funding

• OOMPF: One-Off Members Production Fund

FTI Members can apply for this fund which provides the successful recipient with a budget of $5,000 cash and $5,000 in-kind support to make a short drama or documentary production.

• LINK/HYPERLINK

FTI and ScreenWest are pleased to announce an increase in funding for short films under the revamped LINK production initiative and the introduction of the new HyperLink scheme.

 

Under the revised LINK guidelines, drama and animation projects will receive $30,000 and documentaries $20,000.

FTI will fund up to 3 drama/animation projects and up to 2 documentaries in 2006/2007 under the LINK scheme.

In addition to this, one short film project will receive $70,000 under the new HyperLink scheme, which is designed to fund more advanced projects that also incorporate interactive/multi-platform elements and digital technologies in their application.

 

This increase in funding will allow up to six Western Australian production teams the opportunity to develop their filmmaking skills and experience.

 

Upon completion of LINK/HYPERLINK funded projects, filmmakers should have the required skills and working knowledge to apply for next level AFC or ScreenWest project funding schemes.
